It presents a report of an ethnographic incursion on the Piauí Ridge, in the district of Piatã / BA, in which the studies of the researcher about the candomba, done during a track in search of this plant of the northeastern wilderness are mixed with her knowledge about the ontological relation of the local inhabitants with the candomba and the Piauí Ridge and, at last, they are extended to a reflection about the dense plot in which are envolved all the subjects, all the objects, and all the relationships of knowledge.
