Abstract

This essay is based on the reading of "A party to Boris", first text for the theater by Thomas Bernhard, in addition to dialoguing with the propositions of Buñuel's cinema. The approach carried out here updates issues of contemporary dramaturgy, such as other forms of action as absence of action, other dealings with language, distortion of the normative logics of thought, repetition, and above all, the critical and experimental force of silence.
