This article is a reflection on representations in the arts. Among the artistic languages, we chose “photography” – in fact a small cutout: Sérgio Guerra's “Negroamor” exhibition – as an object that will permeate the discussion undertaken here about how iconographic narratives reaffirm the place of the socially constituted black.
